Light feed
Dark feed, #18191A
You design the ad on a white screen at 2pm. Half the people who see it are scrolling a black screen at 11pm. A creative with a white background blends into the light feed and glows like a flashlight in the dark one, and both versions run from the same upload.
So look at both before you spend money on it. TikTok is always black. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X flip with the phone's setting.
What to do: flip the toggle before you ship. If the edges look bad on black, fix the creative now, not after launch.
Upload one image, click one button, get a ZIP with every placement as a sharp PNG: feed, Story, Reels, the lot, each file named so you know what it is. Drop them in the client deck or the Slack thread and get your sign-off.
One warning before you send: a square and a vertical of the same photo are two different ads, and a square stretched into Reels looks like a square stretched into Reels. If the 9:16 looks off, make it as its own image or reframe the one you have.
The official way to preview an ad is to build the campaign first. Campaign, ad set, creative, the whole thing, just to see a picture. Then the preview pane loads blank half the time, the share link you send the client expires, and there is no download button anywhere.

Meta's own render is still the final word, so glance at the Ads Manager pane right before you hit publish. Do everything before that moment here, where nothing has to be built first.
About 125 in the feed. The cut is by line rather than by count, roughly where two lines end on a phone, so the exact fold moves with your words. The field accepts thousands of characters, which is how so many ads bury the offer below a fold nobody taps.
Reframe one creative into 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 and 16:9 without cropping.
Draw every platform's UI bands on your creative at true scale.

AdMake AI generates ad images at 1080 x 1350 and 1080 x 1920, the canvases these frames render, so the fold and the CTA bar are part of the layout instead of a surprise after launch.
