How we calculate this
The formula, in plain words+
- We take the number of ads you need each week and multiply it by 4.33 weeks in a month. Each finished ad uses 12 credits, which gives you 1 final plus 2 drafts. Then we pick the smallest plan that covers them all.
- Every way of making an ad has its own cost in money and in your time. Here is what one ad takes: a freelancer $250 and 1.5 hours, an agency about $400 and 1 hour, an in-house designer $300, which is 4 designer hours at $75, and 1 hour of yours, or doing it yourself $0 and 3 hours. Your own time is worth $80 an hour.
- More people on the team means more of your hours go into every ad. We use 1x for 1 person, 1.5x for 2-3, 2.1x for 4-6, and 2.8x for 7+. Those hours grow because of the back-and-forth of checking and fixing each ad with everyone involved.
- To see what a month costs you today, we start with one ad. We take the fee you pay for it, then add your own hours on it, priced at $80 an hour and grown by your team size. Then we multiply by the number of ads you make in a month, which also gives us the hours you spend today.
- With AdMakeAI, a month costs you the plan price and about 10 minutes of checking per ad. That checking time is priced at $80 an hour and grows with your team size, just like before. Your team still checks every ad, it just stops waiting.
- Your savings for the month are what you spend today minus what you spend with AdMakeAI, and your time saved is your old hours minus the new checking time. Your ROI for the year is those savings times 12. The big headline number takes your monthly savings and divides them by what the month costs with AdMakeAI, the plan and your team's checking time together, so your time counts on both sides.
- Darkroom, Marketing Agency Cost 2026: Static ads $150-$500 each; retainers $8K-$15K a month for 25-40+ assets; designers $65K-$90K plus 28% benefits.
- MHI Growth Engine, February 2026: Turnaround for a net-new concept: 3-5 days in-house, 5-10 days freelancer, 10-14 days agency.
- US Bureau of Labor Statistics, OEWS May 2025 and ECEC March 2026: Marketing managers median $80.19 an hour. Graphic designers $70,560 mean, plus a 30.1% benefits load.
- Motion, Creative Benchmarks 2026: 578,750 creatives: accounts under $10K a month launch about 3 a week, the top quartile about 5.
- Ziflow with the AMA, State of Creative Workflow: 57% of creative teams go through 3-5 versions before an asset is done; a quarter go past 6.
Honest questions
Where does the big headline number come from?+
It comes from dividing your savings for the month by what that same month costs with AdMakeAI. That cost is your plan and about 10 minutes of checking per ad at $80 an hour, grown by your team size. Your savings are what ads cost you today, the fee for each one and your own hours for briefing, checking and fixing at the same $80 rate and team size, minus that AdMakeAI cost. We do not just divide by the plan price, because your time counts on both sides.
Why is there no ROAS or sales figure in this?+
You cannot check a sales promise against an invoice, so we only count what you pay for ad designs and the hours they take. Common Thread Collective did measure 65% higher ROAS (sales you get back for each ad dollar) for brands testing 20+ ads a month. Making more ads is exactly what this makes cheap. That upside is yours to prove, not ours to promise.
What if I need more ads than the plan covers?+
Each ad uses 12 credits, which gives you 1 final plus 2 drafts. We pick the smallest plan that covers your month. If you go past the Business plan, top-up packs start at $19 and never expire.
