The intro text cap, four answers
The field above accepts 600 and the frame folds at 150. The headline is simpler: 70 characters shown, then a hard cut.
One LinkedIn help page says the intro caps at 255 characters, another says 3,000, most guides say 600. None of it matters, because the feed folds your intro at about 150 and hard-cuts the headline at 70 with no see more. Character 71 does not exist.
Two things mockup tools love to invent that LinkedIn does not have: a URL line and a description under the image. The real unit is intro, image, then headline on the left with the CTA button on the right. One more trap: images under 401 pixels wide render as a tiny thumbnail, which is how blog images end up as postage stamps.
What to do: write the intro to 150, the headline to 70, and never ship an image under 401 pixels wide.
Mock another platform
Company logo and name, follower count, then Promoted on its own line, intro text folding at two lines with see more, the image edge to edge with square corners, and a light band underneath with the headline on the left and the CTA button on the right. No URL line, no description. That is the frame this page draws.
AdMake AI generates ad images at 1080 x 1350 and 1080 x 1920, the canvases these frames render, so the fold and the CTA bar are part of the layout instead of a surprise after launch.
